I know that there is icecream made specifically for dogs (meat flavor...eww), I think one of the brands was named Dogster. Have you guys seen dog icecream around your areas (there isn't any around here) and do you feed your dogs ice cream when its hot?

I feed Junior a little bit of vanilla Ice cream and he loves it, I know that too much would probably be bad for him because of them being able to digest lactose.

I believe the good thing about Sherbert is that its low fat and has little dairy in it too. Junior loves vanilla icecream though so sometimes I give him a little scoop. But we have to keep in mind too much of anything is bad. Twisted Evil

Correct, sherbit has NO fat b/c there is no dariy in it.

Our tiny little general store sells a kind of dog brand ice-cream cookie. They are like an ice-cream sandwich for dogs. They have them all the time. I will have to check what the actual brand name is.

No doubt!!! We're having heat and humidity that just wont quit. Heat indexes are in the upper 90's and we'vre had two over 105 ... (danger levels) ... the dog's are NOT enjoying having to be in the house all day. They are out in the early AM and then after 8pm but they arent as active as usual. Shocked weeping

We've had MORE than enough of rain here.

Thurs and Fri one are just north of us got 11 inchs in 14 hours. Today a dam on one of the lakes near us breached and it is flooding a large area including several towns and cities.

If you are interested, you can watch so vids at www.kcrg.com

OK, I guess I should clarify my statement. Yes, some companies use whipping cream or half-n-half when making it. But the one that I buy say that they use Skim Milk in place of the cream. Several recipes Ive seen online actually use NO milk products at all.

I'll see If I can get some brand names for you.

Well I'm thinking if Jr can take vanilla icecream he can take a bit of half n half or whipping cream.lol. But I guess stuff like this is good to know in case someones dog gets sick from eating dairy products.

Oh yesterday I saw Frosty Paws at the food store! This is the first time I've ever seen them! They were about 3.50+, and I was tempted to buy one but I think I'll stick to the regular stuff, after all the servings of frosty paws seems quite small....Jr would take less than a second to gobble one up ^^
