Yes, it's a game we play, and I can go through several of those cheap kites in one day. I bring the kite down low and try to swoop it past them. Lib rarely misses.

All your dogs are awesome! I wonder if they fight each other since there's a lot.

When you raise dogs correctly they do not fight. That is why it is SO important for humans to understand dogs. Ive seen as many as 30 dogs living together in the same area and they never even fight for food. This is b/c the owner has control of them. Control is gained thru mutual trust and hours of proper training. Im sure that Ann, Steven and everyone else who owns more than one dog will tell you the same thing.

I'm taking it that Hannah Grrrl doesn't like snowmans very much, hahaha! You know all your pooches need are some dark sunglasses and it would look like doggy secret services

Im sure that Ann, Steven and everyone else who owns more than one dog will tell you the same thing. Can't argue with you there! You just need to understand the way dogs works and keep in mind that dogs also may need their own space sometimes. I've heard of many households that have multiple dogs and they live quite happily.

It interesting that you say that. Neka and Patchs love to hang out together and they are toghther 90% of the time. But they both have thier own little "personal" quiet place. Its also interesting to note that they respect each other enough to stay away from each other when one or both are in this quiet place.

I had one good fight a few years ago between 2 females, one being Lib and the other a fairly new dog who overstepped her bounds. Both girls had tooth scrapes and the new girl had a couple of puncture wounds. They got along okay in the house, probably because there's less room to tangle and they know I can get to them PDQ. Libby is submissive to humans but never with another female dog. Other than that episode, I've never really had any problems. and have had as many as 11 living here at once, with two being fosters. I don't bring another female into the house unless I know I can take time off of work to watch the interactions for awhile. Have never had any problems with males, although they do play fight and it can look and sound pretty ferocious at times. It' all noise, no contact.

Im sure that Ann, Steven and everyone else who owns more than one dog will tell you the same thing. It can be hard bringing together multiple dogs from shelters. Many have been VERY hungry, they're usually not well socialized. Most Rotts that end up in shelters were dogs that were left out back on a chain and expected to guard the house. Two things make it all workable. Dogs want to bond with a human, and they're also rather smart. They may not be able to compare yesterday with today, but they know when they're being cared for and they know when they're happy. I've actually wondered if you can get as strong of a bond with a dog you raise as you can with a dog when you save it's life.

You are officially my "hero" ... When I had 11 it was only for a month or two. I had the 7 in the picture, adopted two from a shelter to get healthy and rehome, and then Hurricane katrina happened. No one wanted to foster the Rotties and pit bulls, so I took 2 of them. One died of old age here and the other was reunited with his owner a few months later.
