Just curious, what are some foods you cannot stand and you will not ever eat?

For me its Onions... I swear they are the most disgusting things in the world to me. Ironically I know some foods don't taste good without them.... but as long as I don't have to eat them I'm fine.

I love all food and will try anything once..no matter how yucky it may seem haha..

however, i dont like mushrooms ..at all. i dont know what it is about them. it's not the texture because i love textured foods...but mushrooms...boy oh boy...i don't prefer them. I'll usually pick them off of anything i eat , lol

oh , and i dont care for anchovies..ive only had them a few times as a kid because my dad put them on pizza but i think it ruins the taste, haha

Hmm never tried anchovies...I often hear of people not liking them. As for mushrooms, eh they're ok if there isn't a lot of them, I like to eat them on pizza and quiche.

I will try anything once.

As for the things I have tried that I will not try again ... They are:
Squid
Octapuss
Eel
Beets
brussel sprouts
Beef Liver
Chicken Liver
Gizzards
Haggus

Oh yes squid and octopus....how can anyone EAT that, its like impossible to chew. But still, I don't feel as strongly about those as with onions...

What is it about onions? I love onions and garlic ... and they are very good for you.

Garlic is fine...its onions. The taste, smell and the sound when you chew it...its gross. So far there is one food that I don't mind them un-minced, thats Chow Mein. Otherwise I'll always pick them off

If you cook them over medium heat with some butter they have a nutty flavor ... They should be a "golden" color.

My favorite "onion" dish is actually "French Onion Soup"

Well one of my favorite recipe (Moroccan Chicken) call for two WHOLE onions, I love it, but like I said....I pick off the onions.lol.

I've seen french onion soup when a friend of mine took us to Mimi's Cafe...besides the cheese, you'd have to pay me to eat it

To each his own!!! Like I always say, "you eat what you want, and I'll eat what I want!!!

I can't make the fork go to my mouth with beef, no matter how you fix it or fancy it up. Almost as bad with chicken and pork.
To not have to go into lengthy explanations and sometimes debates, I usually just say I'm vegetarian if someone else is cooking for me. The only meat I normally eat is wild game and not all that often.

Thats interesting, is there any reason why you won't eat those meats? Is is the processing or something? For me its the opposite, I have to force myself to eat veggies (except green beens, I love those), but precooked frozen chicken to me is really disgusting....

I have seen factory farms, and most of the beef, pork and poultry that ends up on our dinner tables comes from these farms. Not only are the conditions for the animals horrendous, but they (beef cattle) are also given anabolic steroids, usually mixtures of several to speed and enhance growth. I should also mention the massive amounts of antibiotics that people eating these animals are ingesting inadvertantly.
The slaughter of these animals is frequently done in a cruel manner.
I just can't go there.

Oh I see, some of my friends reacted like that after seeing the raising and processing of foods like that....

I am a very picky eater. I dislike many many foods I couldn't even begin to name them all but I will list a few that I hate hate hate hate!
