There is no crime in owning a designer breed, nor should anyone look down on others that may own one. For all we know they may have adopted him/her. However even if that weren't the case, what kind of dog they acquire is their own decision.

The idea that designer breeds are 'true breeds' is usually what causes big debates on threads. A true breed, however, is one that can be bred to another of his/her breed and the resulting litter is the same % breed as their parents.

That being cleared up, everyone should note that this board welcomes owners of purebreds, crossbreds, designer breeds, and mutts equally.
