Q - ABOUT HOLISTIC REMEDIES Vide

as trainers we are not allowed to PRESCRIBE any medication for the dogs in our care - that is a vets job right?

What i want to know is..... how do we safely, without risk of prosecution for breaking the above rule - explain to our clients that
there are holistic complimentary products available. i am thinking specifically about Rescue Remedy which is proven to have a
really positive effect on really nervous, maybe even travel aversive dogs. how would you explain to your clients about this option?
and would it be possible to include these products as a retail line without infringing any of the rules and regulations. i am struggling to
find anywhere on the internet that explains, in full, if this would be legal practise.
any info would be appreciated.

The reason it may be hard to find anything on the internet is that the laws varry from state to state, country to country and even from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Best of luck finding what you need!!!

Well don't know too much about business here so all I can offer is my opinion.

The only way you would get around a lawsuit if something ever bad happened is to make sure they sign a paper with a disclaimer, making them responsible for that what they decide to use. But seeing how you guys specialize in training it might be a bit weird to add stuff like that to a contract.

Best solution if you want to introduce clients to holisitc medicine is to find a holistic vet near you that you can work with and who's ideals you agree with. That way when people ask about anything relating to health or medicine you can send them with that vet, and if the vet has people in need of a trainger he can send people your way. I'm not sure what thats called, an affiliate? Not even sure if its possible. Embarassed
