i think the part most pet-dog owners don't get is the MULTIPLICATIVE nature of stresses - they don't add 1 + 1 + 1, they multiply by various factors. a dog who is afraid of the vet, AND is fearful of prick-eared dogs, will be way-worse in the reception area with a GSD than if the only other dog is a Lab or a Golden. - t
