a series from Boulder Dog - pos-R B-Mod for a dog who bites when handled, guards objects & food, attacks other dogs, bites strangers, & is terrified of storms. [other than that, she's fine...] oh, yeah - and separation-anxiety, forgot that.
part 1: http://tinyurl.com/3cpw2zw in the shelter part 2: http://tinyurl.com/3pzzsjj still in the shelter part 3: http://tinyurl.com/3kdfzo5 going home
frequently, people insist that dogs in general, or 'some' dogs, or 'some' breeds, NEED tough handling, or punishment, or correction - this arises as a repeated theme; IMO it is entirely a false premise.
her behavior & emotional responses [biting, fear, reactivity, self-defense when handled, etc] were changed with no choke, prong, or shock collar, & without threats, intimidation or confrontation. This is not just a happy-ending, it is good, effective, humane rehab / B-mod & teaching / training, IMO. enjoy, - terry

Gotta say, I love this stuff. I've gotten so many Rotties from shelters just before kill time because no one was going to give them a chance. All but one of about 75 have been great dogs. The one that didn't make it, she would have probably, if I or someone else could have figured out what to do to help her. And no, I didn't keep that many dogs, most were rehomed within a few weeks, although I have had a houseful a time or two.
