I've written about the soft poop which has been better with the Natural Balance sweet potato and venison. However, whenever we go to the park, she has a habit of marking (poopwise) multiple times. Sometimes three times or more! By the time she gets to about the second poop it gets less firm and sometimes pudding-like. Sorry to disgust anyone. Anyway, it doesn't help if she goes before we leaves for the park, she still does it. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I've seen other dogs do this at dog parks and at dog events. Basically anywhere there would be multiple dogs or the scents of them. It's instinctual, so not sure there's any way to stop it, other than desensitization to other dogs. I'm sure you've already tried distraction. It can be hard to trump instinct!
Pee marking is so much more subtle. Maybe she's just leaving exclamation points after her name and phone number. Razz

I kinda answered this in your other thread but I guess its worth mentioning again. But yes defecating is still a way to mark, as dogs do have scent glands that 'mark' their droppings. Also it tends to be normal for the stool to get softer and softer as she does her business more and more. It happens with Junior when I take him out for walks and he goes 2-3 times.
