I think My 2yr doggie is feeling neglected and left out, I'm currently pregnant again with my 2nd child and I feel since Rudy is not getting as much attention he is acting out... He marks though out the house which is new and if I don't follow him downstairs in the middle of the night he'll do the deed in the house...
A bit of background info on Rudy... My husband and I adopted Rudy @ 8 weeks from a private family that broke the litter way too soon he was the last to go and his siblings had been gone for weeks prior, I don't know if this is what causes the extra anxiety but maybe... Six mos go by both hubby and I work from home so rudy is with us constantly with us but everything is great...we get pregnant, things are ok but he's more needy and way over protective for me, no one could come to the door or in our house without him going nuts @ 6mos into my pregnancy we decide to adopt Max, so Rudy has a brother and doesn't feel left out maybe it helps him calm down a bit.... Nope we were wrong... Max is 4 mos younger and they get along great but he didn't help with anxiety , i feel it made it worse max is instigating as soon as he hears a sound he just lets out 1 bark and making Rudy go more nuts ...if FedEx drops off at the door they are ready to take the door down. I mean these are 12 lbs dogs but they sound ferocious... Hubby sets out time in the morning when he pays extra additional attention only to Rudy see if it helps but it doesn't seem to make much difference at all but maybe it's making it worse I don't know anymore.... now I'm 8mo pregnant and I'm just afraid things are getting worse and worse and I don't know what to do.... Any advice, ideas, suggestion are welcomed. I love my dogs they are like my children but I don't know what to do for him. Thanks in advance for your replies.
