Living in Souther California we don't really have this problem but maybe some of you guys that live in snowy areas might? I know that some use salt to melt the snow in some streets, do you constantly have to wash their paws to get it off? Are there adverse effects if you dont? Or is it more advisable to stay off those kinds of streets until the snow passses?

I dont use it on any areas that the dog make contact with. When we walk in public, I constantly make them walk in the snow to keep their paws cleaned off.

So the snow helps clean it off, huh? Do you have to wash their feet every now and then?

Yes, the snow will clean the pads and the webing between, but I also have an old bath towel inside the back door that I use to wipe their feet clean.
