This is a dog with superior sight and hearing. It is NOT a herding dog. It is in the purest sence of the word "a guardian dog". It does not take well to strangers and must have a formal introduction to insure it will not become defensive. It is extreamly loyal, alert and capable of great speed and endurance. It is Highly intelligent, and easy to train, but is not a dog for beginners.

It IS an Anatolian Shepherd. They are not herding dogs, but are used as flock GUARDING dogs.
