LOL, the title to this article caught my eye, I have no idea why Twisted Evil

But anyway, here's the link: http://vetmedicine.about.com/b/2010/03/30/is-my-vet-ripping-me-off.htm?nl=1

Its not an indepth article just a few links here and there and some things you can if you think your vet might be charging you for things that you don't need. But the example they used in that article about a cat owner having to pay $4100 when they took their cat to the vet because it had gone off its food for a week, really seemed a bit excessive? What do you guys think?

oh geez...that IS overly excessive..yikes! it's so unfortunate that people take the most they can get out of people to benefit themselves..especially when someone needs help. really unfortunate. if anyone has a bad vet who charges them that much, they should find a 2nd opnion or another vet, or just get pet insurance.

My vet has always been fair with me, but he DOES know how to charge!!!

On the other hand, they dont do any after hours emergency anymore so if we have to get any emergency room care we are stuck with the "big boys" at the corproate place. They charge $95 JUST to see you and then charge about 3X what everyone else in town charges. I had a friend who HAD to go there, and he had a $2800 bill when he left. Had he gone to his regular Vet, it would have been less than half of that.

Nights and weekends, Im REALLY careful with my two girls!!! affraid

I hear E-Vets are a killer on your budget...but you know sometimes you need them THAT bad.

John, how was her cat injured?
