I'm sure some of you have heard about the huge oil spill down south in the gulf right? Well just got an interesting newsletter somewhat related to this. I think the timing of it is perfect considering some dogs (just like Junior) are blowing their coats right now.
Matter of Trust, a non-profit ecological group, has been collecting hair from humans and animals to help with the recent oil spill. Apparently hair is very good in absorbing oil, and so it is used to help gather and keep oil that has been collected from spills. So if you get a chance this might be a good way to put the extra fur into good use! You can definitely start some sort of community drive to help collect more fur to help out with these oil spills.
