I let the girls out this evening and after about 25 minutes I noticed that it was WAY too quiet out there, so I thought I better check to see what they were up to. Here's what i found!!! (Sorry for the photo quality, it was taken thru the screen without flash and it was almost dark)

I let my ladies out about 9 am ... it's now 10:30 and i havent heard anything from them. I just looked out and it appears that they are on "Squirrel Watch" ...

Well least they seem quiet, when Junior sees a squirrel he runs and barks like crazy!

Yep, they were quiet!!! But they were only "On Watch" ... they hadnt seen one yet. God help the neighborhood if they do see one!!! It sounds like a pack of fox hounds when they do!!!

Yes, eventually one ALWAYS shows up. Neka and Patchs will watch for a long time b/c they know one will come along!!! There are about 50 of them in our neighborhhod.

Good to hear that their watch guard efforts were rewarded. My dog wouldn't bark if the squirrel ran under his feet.  He is no guard at all!!!

Hahaha I kinda wish Junior wouldn't bark for squirrels! Although I'm very happy that he doesn't bark often.

SQUIRREL ALERT !!!! Patchs: "I got the back covered ... You make sure he doesn't go off the front!" Neka: "He's not going to come this way. If he does, he'll never make it to the trees!" This "barkfest" went on for about 15 minutes with the squirrel shaking it's tall and "churping" at them ... then it went up the tree on the oppsite corner of the garage. My two "trained killers" watched it climb half way up the tree, then laid back down on the deck and went to sleep!!

Hahaha! It seems that squirrels really like to taunt dogs, they seem to do it here too to poor Jr!
