Dogs and bones belong together, right? Aren't bones actually healthy for dogs?

Answer: No. Bones are dangerous for dogs because they can cause several health problems.

While not all pet experts agree on this topic, most veterinary health professionals can tell you plenty of bone-related horror stories. The longtime assumption that bones are appropriate canine treats is doggone wrong. Why?

Take a look at the following potential complications.

They most certainly can, especially if they chip off a wrong way (too sharp), but if people are inclined to give bones the bigger ones are better than cooked chicken bones (yikes!)

I know one my of grandmathers dogs died from being unable to chew the bone properly. It was way back. After that she has been told to cut the edges of the bone, and not to feed dogs the sharp bones.
