I hadn't noticed this section before! This is my Bearded Dragon, who I've had for about 3 months. I think "it" is a girl, but I am waiting until she is a little bit older so I can be absolutely sure before I name her. If she is definitely a girl, her name will be Saphira. I got her a hammock the other day.. she loves it! Still growing!

Wow she's really cool! Thats the biggest one I've seen too. I used to have an Green Anole, he was awesome...until he escaped that is.lol. I'm sure he was happy though;) How can she be Saphira? Doesn't she need to be blue for that?lol.jk. If its a boy you can name him Shruikan!....erm...that is if you got that name from a book I'm thinking...if not...then I feel silly

Yeah we had green anoles at Petsmart where I worked.. they were FAST and tough to catch when they get out, which I guess you found out lol. She should get a lot bigger too, which I am excited about hehe.. I am just hoping she doesn't go through a bad adolescent stage, because apparently they often go through stages where they are just a pain in the butt. We'll see lol. And yes, I got the name from Eragon :p

Phew, I was hoping you got it from Eragon! Are you waiting for the fourth books too? I thought that Brisingr would be the last but noooo.lol. Ya Anoles are fast, but mine was much of a runner. I would sometimes be able to take him out and let him crawl on my arm. I liked the red fin/flap thing they have under their heads and when they extend it out...dunno if you know what I'm talking about? Hey I had no idea that reptiles go through a pain-in-the-rump stage! I guess that must've been when mine decided to live in the outdoors, huh?:p

I actually started the first book, but wasn't able to quite finish it before I moved. I haven't read any of the other books either! I did enjoy the story though and thought the name Saphira was very cute lol. Lucky he would sit still for even a second... in my experience they were always like lightning lol. Yep, I know what you're talking about with that under their heads hehe. And here's a picture of her today, she was very interested in the little fish.. after this picture she tried to eat them lol.

Yep! Beardies usually won't drink out of a water bowl so having a bath at least once a week along with their daily veggies helps keep them hydrated! Thanks for looking, I have a tendency to get a little crazy with pictures of her lol!

Very cool! I think I want a bearded dragon too Lol, you handfeed her the roaches? Are the alive? They sure look different, I imagine they aren't your ordinary house cockaroaches right?

Well I don't see why they wouldn't want to hear more, I find them both very interesting!lol. Ya, I sorta thought it wouldn't be the ones you never want to find at home.lol. Those (the ones in the pic) don't gross me out at all Oooo Saphira's bite hurts? Hehe in that case I think I'd just prop the roaches in the cage and no handfeeding!

Haha thanks. Yeah after I got over the initial shock of "Eww I'm holding a roach" I actually really enjoy them! I get a bit attached to some of them lol. Yep, her bite does hurt.. she is not aggressive in the slightest, but when she was attacking a roach, her bite did break the skin. Yeah, I should probably just drop them I do sometimes, but for some reason I enjoy hand feeding her! I'm just silly like that haha.

Aw, so adorable! My friends think I am really weird that I think they are cute. After watching the show "Wild Recon" on Animal Planet, I have grown to love reptiles and amphibians. I don't think I could handle owning one as a pet, it is hard enough being a full time student and owning a dog let alone having to take care of a tank and feeding some of them live animals like mice or roaches. To much work for me, I like it simple with just buying dog food and I am good on that for about two months, lol! I linked the website to the show if anyone was intrested in checking it out. http://animal.discovery.com/tv/wild-recon/

Hehe thanks! I know, a lot of people think it's odd to like reptiles and amphibians, but we know who's missing out! Yea, they can be a bit time consuming, especially since I was super stressed a couple weeks ago with a light bulb I purchased for Saphira and it turned out the company was having trouble with the bulbs giving off too much UVB and it was hurting her eyes.. I got it replaced and now she is doing great, but I lost sleep worrying about her little butt! If you ever do find yourself having extra time though and want a reptile, I would totally recommend a Beardie! I've had a Ball Python, a Pacman Frog, and a Beardie, and she is by far the most personable and fun.

Hehe Pacman Frogs are hilarious! They are basically ambush predators, just sittin in one spot most of the time. Fat lazy frogs. Cute though! Eatin a mealworm Those are pictures of Mr. T when he was a baby. I bought him for my little sister and I showed her how to take care of him. Then I moved down here, and unfortunately he died while still fairly young.. I'm not sure why. : / They normally get a lot bigger than that. Also, his full name was Mr. Tumbles because I was working at Petsmart and put him in his little container and set him on the cashier counter. Then, my boss came over and picked up the container to look at him, and went to put him down and somehow he missed the counter and the frog fell off about a foot and so my sister named him Mr. Tumbles!
