Don't let someone with Dymentia take care of my dog!!!

Okay so my parents decided they are NOT ready to LET GO of me even though I start college in the fall, I was close to getting married before and I am 18. My mom now told me I cannot go to FL unless she goes to "babysit me". OMG I so flipped out but what set me off is that she was going to watch star for me...shes the only person I trust with him. My dad cant he hates my dog, he has tried ti hit him and hes threatned to posion him so I would NEVER trust my dad with Star. So she tells me she will let my aunt who has demyntia really badly take care of him. Now star hasnt been able to learn how to be outside without a leash, and hes SCARED to be with anyone or outside and I dont trust she'd forget to not let him out with a leash and he runs over and gets killed on the main highway by her house. I am VERY picky about Star, he is my baby, my angel...I won't go if my mom wont be watching him. I trust her with him.

So now I cannot go to FL because my parents want to baby me until the day I die!! And worst part is that my mother wanted to put Star in care of someone who easily forgets and could run away and be killed. He don't listen to anyone but me...and my mom. So he would miss us and if she forgets leash he'd take off trying to find me. UGH! I just had to rant. That was really getting to me. FL is not worth possibly losing my dog.

Is there no way to take him with you? I mean star isn't really that big, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Heh and you've told me sometimes that you get hurt because you think your mother doesn't care about you. If they are this reluctant to let you go, its because they care.... However, it is time for you to fly away from the nest. You need to sit down with them and tell them that you are 18 now and have to learn to fend for yourself. I'm not talking about being rebellious either, but a certain degree of independancy is healthy.

well apperntly star is car sick and I dont want my baby being handled by other people on a plane for 3 days, in a hotel =P I want my baby at home, no trips. To stressful for him.
