Of all the people I know I honestly think that the last people to want to get a dog would be our landlords. They've never showed any interest in our or our neighbors dogs....quite the opposite really, they seem not to like our dogs.

I think it was yesterday I was outside and hear whining, a puppy whine! I look at my landlords yard and there are two pups in a crate outside. I was thinking maybe someone dropped them there? But from what I can see it looks like they are theirs!!

It seems they didn't do their homework though, I haven't seen them do anything with the pups yet except leave them outside in the crate and just right now I saw both pups (can't be even 2 months old) running around the yard unsupervised.... This place here is a rural-ish area. Bunnies galore, coyotes every now and then and not to mention fleas and ticks are starting to become numerous.... I think they might catch something... Should I say anything to them? We don't really have a very easy going relationship to begin with....

OMG, please keep an eye on the puppies. You may be the one to save thier lives!!!

Found out yesterday that they are two female lab-mixes.... Well the good thing is that they come over to my neighbors house, and we get along great, so I may have a little time here and there to check them over....but I think I might mention to them that they can hire me if they need training... I know money isn't a problem for them but they can be a tad stingy...

good grief!!! i would drop a business card and information leaflet in their letterbox...its a bit more subtle!

I'd use it as a way to bond with the owners/your landlords!! Offer to bring Junior over to help get the puppies socialized, and then talk to them about how much you love dogs and that if they needed any training/socialization/care advice you'd be happy to help them out any time!!

Yes good tip Lees (+2). Bad news though, it was as I first thought, the pups were left there....either by someone or somedog....they say a female dog was around there with the pups.... But that the two pups weren't theirs and that they were going to take them to the pound I actually got to hold one because our neighbors came by asking for a bit of food for them, they poor things were hungry....

It was a beautiful pup, a mongrel, I didn't know what it was but it had such a beautiful coat, dark almost black coat with light brown tips (something like brindle but not quite) and a white blaze on her chest......I really wish I could have kept her...

So anyways, I suggested they take them to the adoption center instead of the pound. I hoped they listened....
